If you are interested in volunteering, emaill Brigitte at bsimpson@hermitagehills.com or fill out the form below.  Last year, we had over 50 volunteers and this year we will need even more.  Tell your friends and join this mission opportunity as we collect boxes so that children (and their families) can hear about the love of Jesus.

Samaritan’s Purse is an international relief ministry led by Franklin Graham.  It provides support for veterans, healthcare, career development, and food for families around the world.  They have a gift catelog that you can use to gift families around the world with items that they need.  Click HERE to view the catelog.

Another aspect of their ministry is Operation Christmas Child.  This effort collects shoebox gifts for children around the world as an expression of God’s love.  The gift is not the items in the box, but instead the Gospel that is told to each child that receives a box.  In 2021, Hermitage Hills collected 636 boxes.  This is 636 opportunities for the Gospel to be shared with a child!

In 2021, we were also a Drop Off Site so that our community could bring their filled shoeboxes for us to deliver to the Central Drop Off Site.  We had an amazing week.  There were 3,778 filled shoeboxes dropped off at Hermitage Hills.  We had 47 people volunteer to help collect, count, crate, load in the truck, and unload at the Central Drop Off Site.  We are so excited to be able to serve our community in this capacity.  Each box dropped off is an opportunity for those around the world to hear the Gospel.
