Bobby’s career path to Hermitage Hills began with 30 years in the Houston oil and gas industry finance world, at which time he also served in and through the local church as a deacon, administrative leader, teacher and youth leader. When the Lord finally allowed him to go into ministry (ask him that story), he expected to have a position leading finance and operations but God instead continued to prepare him for his current role by leading him to a church in Tampa where he was pastor of adult ministry and missions. Bobby will tell you that it is so obvious (after the fact) what God was doing. Bobby sees his role at Hermitage Hills as a call to free minsters up to do ministry and his heart is to join in on the front line ministry by teaching a small group, discipling men as the Lord leads, and being open to any way God has to use him here.
He loves his family (an amazing wife, three daughters, three sons-in-law, a grandson…and another on the way); apologetics; TexMex; and golf. Oh, and he loves the truth of God’s Word! Romans 12 is his favorite chapter of his favorite book of the Bible.
