Women on Mission (WOM) is established through the Women’s Missionary Union. Our desire is to:
· Learn about and pray for Home and International Missions
· Pray for our Missionaries on their Birthdays
· Participate in “Hands on” Mission Projects
Past projects include: making gift bags for New Orleans mission trip, providing supplies and feeding Room In The Inn men, stocking the mission home for incoming missionary families, feeding World Changers, and making “Give a Hug Bears” for Women at the Well ladies.
This year, we were able to collect quarters for college students to use for laundry, pack hygiene bags for people in Appalachia, make pumpkins for the homebound, pray for our missionaries as they were faced with additional challenges through the pandemic, and stuff 300 bags with candy and scripture to pass out on Halloween.
Our meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am at Hermitage Hills, but are postponed until January. We are currently doing projects at home, continuing to learn about mission efforts through Mosaic Magazine, and praying for God’s work to be done here and around the world.
