MONTH OF MISSIONS 2022

November is Month of Missions!

At Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, we love to celebrate what God has done through missions.  So, we take the month of November to give updates on what our mission areas have seen God do and give information on ways that you can step into missions in the coming year.

All can participate.  Whether you are in the room or worshipping with us online, a preschooler or active adult, married or single, new to missions or a seasoned server, there is a place for you to step in and connect.  So, mark your calendars and plan to participate in all the activities as we learn about being the ONE that will go tell the ONE about the ONE true God!

ENGLISH CLASSES

We will have three classes on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.  Our classes are currrently full, but we have more students that would like to attend.  You can serve as a lead teacher, class helper, snack room host, or greeter.  If you would like to serve, contact Brigitte at bsimpson@hermitagehills.com.

RADICAL HEART

We are still serving our community through Radical Heart each week on Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 7:30 pm and Thursday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30 pm.  We can use your help.

We are serving as many as 60 families per week and need volunteers to help us host them well.  You can help prepare food boxes in the pantry, load boxes into guests' cars, pray with guests or help guests shop for clothing.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Brenda at bkirk@hermitagehills.com.

ROOM IN THE INN

Room in the Inn provides a place for people to stay the night during the months of November through March. Hermitage Hills hosts men on Wednesday nights. We provide a hot dinner, cots with bedding for sleep, breakfast, a sack lunch for Thursday and transportation to and from the Room in the Inn facility downtown. Most importantly though we provide fellowship and conversation that points to Christ. You can serve in many ways through providing meal items, hosting the meal, driving the van, staying the night as an innkeeper, and helping to launder linens.  If you would like to be part of this ministry, contact Brigitte at bsimpson@hermitagehills.com.

MISSION FAIRS

Each Sunday during November, there will be a Mission Fair set up in the main foyer.  Each week we will highlight an area of missions:  World, Nation/City, and Community.  These fairs are a great way to learn more about how to step into missions at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church so plan to come through before and/or after service each week.

WOMEN ON MISSION

Join us as we meet on Wednesday, November 9, from 10:00 am to noon in the Gathering Place (you will enter at door 1).  We will hear from the GALE family who are missionaries overseas.  We will also participate in a hands-on activity as we prepare Advent Boxes for the Preschool/Children/Radical Heart ministries.  All women are welcome!

CHURCH WIDE SERVE DAY

Join us Saturday, November 12, from 10:00 am to noon in the main foyer (you will enter at door 2).  This is a time for the church to come together to serve in our mission areas.  We will be packing Christmas Holiday food boxes for Radical Heart, preparing the foyer for Operation Christmas Child Drop Off Site, preparing hygiene bags for Room in the Inn, preparing invite bags for our ESL students as we invite them to join us for our church wide Thanksgiving meal, and making blankets for Isaiah House.  To register click HERE

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD DROP OFF SITE

This year, Hermitage Hills Baptist Church is a drop off site for area individuals, families, churches, and organizations to bring their filled Operation Christmas Child boxes.  We will also be a central drop off location for drop off sites to bring their cartons.  Each box collected is an expression of God's love for the child and an opportunity for the Gospel to be shared.  We anticipate collecting 5,000 boxes.  This is about 1,200 boxes more than last year. We need volunteers to host so that we can provide a welcoming, active, encouraging, and efficient experience for those dropping off.

National Collection Week is November 14-21.  We have opportunities to serve each day (times vary).  Click HERE to see where you can step into this mission opportunity.
