Welcome to Month of Missions!  Join us November 1st as we livestream our services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am.  Click HERE to watch the service.  During November, we update you on what has happened in missions over the past year and tell you about mission opportunities for the upcoming year.  Missions is not just a month long initiative, but instead a year long opportunity for us to pray, give, and go as we seek to tell a Great Multitude about Christ.

Our vision is seeing people experience LIFE change through Jesus Christ.

Our mission is:

  • Loving our Community - through acts of kindness
  • Impacting our City - through multiplying groups and campuses
  • Fortifying our Nation - through strengthening relationships, marriages, and families
  • Embracing our World - through missional living.

Reaching a Great Multitude starts with a neighbor, a coworker, a friend.  CLICK to see how sharing the love of Christ can make an impact.  This week, we will focus on community.  CLICK to see how God helped us Love our Community over the past year and for ways to step in to these areas in the new year.  Whether you serve from home or in person, God has a place for you.

Ways you can Participate TODAY:

Pray for God to use missions at Hermitage Hills to reach a Great Multitude.  Pray that God would show you where you can step in whether you serve from home or in person.

November begins a new year for the Hope Wall.  The Hope Wall focuses on two communities - one in Las Conchas, Guatemala and the other in Busia, Kenya.  We use the funds from the Hope Wall to provide food for our partner schools.  This allows our partners to minister to their communities and feed 637 children each day they attend school for the year.  Our Hope Wall opens November 1st for renewals and November 8th for new supporters.

Ways you can participate this WEEK:

This Wednesday, November 4th, our mission's at home activity is making a Thankful Tree.  You will need the pattern (provided in the downloads), markers/crayons/pens, scissors and tape.  On Wednesday, participate in the activity HERE.  You will learn more about what we are thankful for as we have Loved our Community this year.

OCC is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse and collects shoebox gifts for children around the world as an expression of God’s love.  The gift is not the items in the box, but instead the Gospel that is told to each child that receives a box.  You can pack a physical box or pack a virtual box.  Our goal is 500 boxes.  The deadline is November 15th for physical boxes and November 28th for virtual boxes.

We are preparing for our holiday boxes and need your help.  The food drive begins next Sunday, November 8th, and continues through Friday, November 13th.  See the downloads for information on food items needed to complete the holiday boxes.  We are asking children and preschoolers to help us too.  In the downloads, there are coloring sheets.  You can return finished coloring sheets to the office by mailing it to 3475 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076 or by bringing it to Ms. Michelle or Ms. Britney on Sundays.  These coloring sheets will go in each holiday box given so that our community knows that we love them.  Our first boxes are given out on November 11th so get coloring.

Our students have an opportunity to serve at Feed the Children once again this year! Last year, a team of students nearly broke a volunteer record for packing boxes / filling pallets of food for distribution. This year, on Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm we have another opportunity to serve!  To register your student, contact mjenkins@hermitagehills.com.
