Our blood drive on July 16th was a success.  Thank you to all that donated.  Each donation can help up to three people.  Mark your calendar for our next drive on Sunday, January 7th, 2024.

Hermitage Hills Baptist Church partners with the American Red Cross to host two Blood Drives each year.  This is a way for us to use our facility to help those in our city.  It connects us not only to a community organization, The Red Cross, but it also helps us to connect with our community as donors come to give.

 

Did you know. . .

• every two seconds someone in America needs blood,
• blood is needed for mothers giving birth, premature babies, accident/trauma victims, open heart surgeries, cancer treatments, and many more,
• one hour of your time will provide the Red Cross with one unit of blood,
• one unit of blood can help up to three people.

In 2022, our two drives were very successful.  We had 86 people register to donate which provided 82 units of blood.  This means that our drives had the potential to help 246 people!  Thank you to all that have donated in the past drives and we look forward to welcoming new donors this year at our drives on Sunday, January 8, 2022, and Sunday, July 16, 2023, from noon to 4:00 pm.

How can you participate. . .

• donate blood
• encourage those in your area of influence to donate blood
• host the sign up table
• send out reminders
• register people at the drive
• manage the canteen (snack area)
• engage in conversation with those donating
