Welcome to our first Sunday during Month of Missions! Click HERE to watch the service. During November, we take the opportunity to update you on what has happened in missions over the past year and tell you about the ways you can step into missions in the upcoming year. Missions is not just a month long initiative, but instead a year long opportunity for us to pray, go, and give as we seek to tell a Waiting World about the love of Jesus Christ.
Our vision is seeing people experience LIFE change through Jesus Christ.
Our mission is:
- Loving our Community - through acts of kindness
- Impacting our City - through multiplying groups and campuses
- Fortifying our Nation - through strengthening relationships, marriages, and families
- Embracing our World - through missional living.
Reaching a Waiting World starts with you being willing to show God's love to a neighbor, a coworker, a friend.
Ways you can Participate TODAY:
Pray for God to use missions at Hermitage Hills to show the love of Christ to a waiting world. You can do this by joining us in praying for missions through our Daily Prayer Guide. Pray that God would show you where you can step in whether you serve from home or in person. We have a tool for you so that you can pray specifically for missions at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. Click on downloads below for the daily prayer guide and the prayer cards for our community mission's opportunities.
The Hope Wall focuses on three schools in the communities of Las Conchas, Guatemala, Busia, Kenya, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. When you give to the One Fund, you are supporting the Hope Wall. It costs $75 per year to feed one child each day they attend school in these communities. The support from the One Fund allows our partners to minister to their communities by providing food. This act of kindness often opens the door for additional ways to minister to the child's family. We encourage you to pray for our partners, the schools, children, families, and communities. Click on downloads below for a Hope Wall card for Guatemala.
Our mission's fair focuses on the ways that we Love our Community. Watch the picture slide show above to see all the mission fair tables. Information cards about each of our community opportunities can be found by clicking downloads below. Request the picture album for the prayer cards and buttons through the Month of Missions Interest Card below.
Ways you can participate this WEEK:
WEDNESDAYS DURING MONTH OF MISSIONS
This Wednesday, November 10th, you can participate in our Come and See. This will provide more information about the particular area and help you to know how you can step into missions. To get more information, fill out the Month of Mission's Interest Card below.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
OCC is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse and collects shoebox gifts for children around the world as an expression of God’s love. The gift is not the items in the box, but instead the Gospel that is told to each child that receives a box. You can pack a physical box or pack a virtual box. The deadline is November 21st for physical boxes and November 28th for virtual boxes.
STUDENTS MISSION'S PROJECT
Our students have an opportunity to serve during DNOW this weekend November 13th and 14th! This weekend is a great opportunity for students to connect with their peers, learn more about living a Christ-centered life, and serve through missions. For more information or to register your student, go to hermitagehills.com/events.
